6 Most Popular Indian Animated Characters

Cartoons have always been a source of motivation and attraction for children. Things have changed a lot, and carton TV shows have become an incredible part of the daily life of children.

Today’s children have the option of viewing cartoon characters on television instead of just reading and viewing pictures in the cartoon books. Some of the cartoon animated characters that Indian children like are Chota Bheem, Kumbh Karan, MotuPatlu to name a few. Tom and Jerry is a comedy cartoon TV show which is loved by children. In fact, this show which is not just liked by children, but also by elders. The case between foolish cat Tom and very smart and intelligent mouse Jerry goes on endlessly. 2. Chota Bheem

Chota Bheem is an Indian animated comedy adventure show. This show is one of the most loved Indian cartoons today. The story is based on Chota bheem who live in the fictional kingdom of dholakpur. One of the most remarkable characteristics of Bheem is shown as his irresistible fondness for ‘ladoos’, an Indian sweet.

In this show Characters Kaalia and twin brother, Dhullu and Bulu oppose Bheem but join his group eventually. The TV show is based on short stories which show how Chota Bheem and his friends face problems bravely and righteously and come out victorious in the end. This show nominated for Indian Telly awards for best kids programme.

3. Little Krishna

Little Krishna is 3D computer animated TV show. The stories revolve around the histories of Bhagwad Gita and its depiction of childhood adventures of Little Krishna in the village of Vrindavan which lives under the threat of evil king Kansa. Krishna captures an epic battle of good versus evil.

A combination of Indian designs and classic western style provide the show with visual styling. Little Krishna was awarded Outstanding Indian Animated content, Best animated T.V show and episode, Best VFX animation in T.V show episode by FICCI Frames.

4. Motu Patlu

Motu Patlu is an Indian CGI animated television show produced by Sitcom. Motu Patlu is stars of Lot Pot Comics, and they have been a favourite among children for more than four decades. Motu is fat and very friendly and is very fond of samosas and Patlu, even though he cannot even read, carries a newspaper with him. Motu always creates the problem, and Patlu solves them.

5. Roll No 21

Roll No 21 is a series that revolves around the stories of the modern form of Lord Krishna, who is Kris and Kans, who is transformed into Kanishk. Kanishk wants to rule the whole world along with Kris and Mathura brings obstacles in his way. However, Kris is shown to any other school going kid but gets transformed into divine one when required.

6. Kumbh Karan

Kumbh Karan is the story about the two twin brothers Kumbh and Karan who lives in AjabGajabpur. Kumbh is chubby lazy, sleepy and hungry but very strong with the soft heart. Karan, on the other hand, is sharp, agile with the smart looks. Kumbh and Karan along with their friend Tara and pet porcupine Kaddu travel the world on the quest.
