In today's fast-evolving creative landscape, students are blending traditional design skills with cutting-edge AI tools to create innovative work that stands out. One such example is the recent project by [Alfaz Sheikh], a design student at [Kshitij Vivan], who used Adobe Illustrator and artificial intelligence to bring fresh, bold ideas to life.
The assignment was simple: create a visual identity for a fictional brand. But instead of sticking to just hand-drawn sketches or classic tools, [Alfaz Sheikh] took it a step further by combining Adobe Illustrator’s precision tools with AI-powered concept generation.
Using Illustrator, the student crafted clean vector logos, brand elements, and packaging mockups. Meanwhile, AI tools like ChatGPT and image generators were used for:
Brainstorming moodboards and brand names
Speeding up ideation with color palette suggestions
Creating initial layout drafts that were then refined in Illustrator
This kind of work shows how AI doesn’t replace creativity—it enhances it. The student’s final project was not only technically sharp but also rich in storytelling and innovation. It reflects how future designers will need to work: with both strong software skills and a smart understanding of how to collaborate with AI tools.
Adobe Illustrator for vector design and layout
ChatGPT for ideation, naming, and copy suggestions
AI image generation tools for moodboard and inspiration
At [Kshitij Vivan], we encourage students to explore the latest tools while mastering the fundamentals. This project is a great example of how the new generation of designers is redefining creativity with the help of technology.
